Every brand has a spark — for Smokey Genie, that spark came from a fiery grill and a restless dream.

Our founder, an entrepreneur at heart, had always believed that food was more than just something to fill the stomach. It was an experience — a way to create memories, happiness, and even conversations. Living in a bustling city where shawarmas were everywhere, one thing kept bothering him:

“Why does fast food always feel the same? Why can’t shawarma be crafted with authenticity, health in mind, and still be exciting enough to go viral?”

That question became the seed for Smokey Genie.

He noticed three gaps in the market:

1. Authenticity was missing – Most shawarmas were drowned in mayonnaise, with little focus on real Middle Eastern flavors.

2. Health-conscious food was overlooked – Customers wanted grilled, wholesome options, but choices were limited.

3. Experience was absent – No brand was making shawarma fun, magical, and aspirational for the modern Indian crowd.

Drawing inspiration from Arabian street-side grills and combining it with an Indian flair for bold flavors, he envisioned a shawarma brand that would stand out. But he didn’t want to be just another eatery — he wanted a scalable brand that could travel across cities, malls, highways, and food delivery platforms, becoming a household name.
